Fan Expo Denver 2022 came to a close after a three day weekend on July 3, 2022, and it came back better than ever. In 2021 an exception was made due to the Covid-19 pandemic and Fan Expo 2021 became a "special event" in October but now it will be resuming in the summers. We at WOW Closet have had an amazing time and experience getting to meet new people and seeing our returning customers sporting our shirts as well! The atmosphere was charged with excitement, anticipation, and fun as one of Denver's hottest summer events kicked off the weekend a week after the Colorado Avalanche won the 2022 Stanley Cup so you can imagine how busy Denver was.
A couple of our own team members were even able to meet and chat with Martin Klebba, an actor and stunt performer, that some of you may recognize as Marty from Pirates of the Caribbean with a role in the upcoming 2023 Snow White movie as Grumpy. An amazing experience meeting such a funny, friendly, and loving husband. Klebba now has our Dark Karanius design along with two Calendario designs for his wife and friend. And many more guest panelists made their way to Denver including Zach Aguilar (voice of Tanjirou in Demon Slayer), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom in Harry Potter), and Jim Lee (Publisher and Chief Creative Officer of DC Comics). With such talented figures having made their appearance this year we are anticipating Fan Expo Denver 2023 to be bigger and better!
If you haven't had the chance to experience Fan Expo here in Denver, don't be discouraged. It will be making it's return June 30 - July 2, 2023 at the Denver Convention Center and WOW Closet will be returning right alongside them for all three days! Whether you be a fan of Mayan/Aztec art, Hispanic culture, pop culture, appreciate having an awesome shirt in your fashion repertoire, or out to have fun, we will be there. And maybe next year we will have an even wider range of new designs to WOW you all with! Have you had the chance to see our new designs that debuted this year? Introducing Dead Storm and Lil' Slashers! Our newest designs are 3D textured as the WOW Closet brand continues to expand and employ new silk screening techniques. Dead Storm utilizes halftone screen printing throughout the design that is completely different to our original Azteca Clon. The Lil' Slashers features three of the most iconic slasher movie characters: Jason Voorhees (Left) from Friday the 13th, Freddy Kreuger (Center) from A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Michael Myers (Right) from Halloween. And my most favorite feature? Certain parts of the design including the faces of the characters will glow in the dark! It's not too late to get one yourself for any occasion, especially for the Halloween season or for a slasher film lover!
